Purpose

Pupkewitz Megatech is looking for an energetic, customer-focused and sales-driven individual to join our Rundu Branch as a Sales Consultant – Retail.
This position is specifically focused on growing the branch’s retail sales by assisting walk-in customers, understanding their needs, recommending suitable products and delivering an excellent in-store shopping experience. The successful candidate must be comfortable working directly with customers and meeting individual and branch sales targets.

Requirements

  • Completed NSSCO/NSSCAS or Grade 12.
  • 3-5 years' sales experience within the electrical, industrial or technical retail environment.
  • Retail experience would serve as an added advantage.
  • Experience compiling quotations, Bills of Materials and Bills of Quantities will serve as an added advantage.
  • Multilingual would serve as an added advantage.
  • Proficiency in using an ERP/ business system.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft suite.
  • Valid Code B Driver's Licence.

Key Result Areas

  • Recommend suitable products based on each customer’s requirements, intended application and available budget.
  • Provide customers with accurate information regarding product features, benefits, specifications and applications.
  • Actively promote available products, new product ranges, special offers and branch promotions.
  • Convert customer enquiries and product requests into completed retail sales.
  • Achieve agreed individual and branch retail sales, gross-profit and margin targets.
  • Prepare accurate quotations and follow up consistently on outstanding retail customer enquiries.
  • Process sales, quotations and customer orders accurately and ensure that all required documentation is completed.
  • Keep customers informed regarding product availability, order progress and collection or delivery arrangements.
  • Develop and maintain sound knowledge of the products, brands and ranges available within the branch.
  • Recommend suitable alternative products when a customer’s preferred product is unavailable.
  • Ensure that products are correctly displayed, clearly priced and appropriately promoted on the retail floor.
  • Identify frequently requested products, customer purchasing trends and potential lost-sales opportunities.
  • Assist with stock counts and report stock shortages, damaged products, pricing discrepancies and other stock-related concerns.
  • Work closely with the branch team to ensure that customers receive efficient, consistent and high-quality service.
  • Take ownership of customer requests and follow through until the sale or enquiry has been concluded.
